2. Visiting this website

This is a static website hosted directly on Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) in the EU (Frankfurt) Region, eu-central-1. When you request a page, technical connection data such as your IP address, the requested file, the time of the request, browser information and response status must be processed to transmit the website and maintain the security and availability of the service.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interests are providing a reliable and secure company website, preventing misuse and diagnosing technical faults.

Amazon Web Services acts as a service provider for the hosting infrastructure. Kinema Logic has not enabled S3 server access logging for this website and does not retain visitor access logs. Technical data may nevertheless be processed by Amazon Web Services as necessary to provide and secure its infrastructure. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, Amazon Web Services provides transfer safeguards under its data-processing terms, including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses where applicable. Further information is available from the AWS GDPR Centre.

3. Cookies, analytics and third-party content

This website does not set cookies and uses no analytics, advertising trackers, contact forms, embedded video, embedded maps, third-party widgets or externally hosted fonts. We do not use the website for profiling or automated decision-making.

4. Contacting Kinema Logic

There is no contact form. If you contact us by email or telephone, we process the information you provide, normally including your contact details, organisation, the content of your enquiry and related correspondence, so that we can respond and manage the resulting business relationship.

Where your enquiry concerns a possible or existing contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other business enquiries, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interests are communicating with business contacts and managing our business relationships. We may also retain information where required by law under Article 6(1)(c) GDPR.

Email is provided through Microsoft 365. Microsoft and its authorised subprocessors process correspondence on our behalf under Microsoft's data-protection terms. Microsoft may process limited data outside the European Economic Area. Where required, transfers are protected by an adequacy decision or safeguards including the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Further information is available in the Microsoft Products and Services Data Protection Addendum. We may also disclose correspondence to professional advisers, authorities or courts where this is necessary and legally permitted.

Supplying information is voluntary, but without the information needed to understand and answer your enquiry we may be unable to respond or enter into a business relationship.

5. Retention

We retain enquiry correspondence only for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting business relationship. Enquiries that do not result in a contract are ordinarily deleted no later than three years after the final substantive contact. Correspondence forming part of contractual, accounting or tax records is retained for the applicable statutory period, ordinarily seven years. Data may be kept longer where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims or to comply with a legal obligation.

6. Your rights

Subject to the conditions of applicable data-protection law, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability. You also have the right to object, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, contact office@kinemalogic.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to identify the relevant data and verify your identity.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria, the competent authority is the Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, Austria, email dsb@dsb.gv.at.

7. Changes to this notice

We will update this notice if the website, its hosting or our handling of website-related personal data changes.
